The Goldwork Guild Exhibition 2017 . . . dates announced
We are delighted to announce that our next exhibition will be held at "Nature in Art", Wallsworth Manor, Gloucester, between 22nd August 2017 and 10th September 2017.
Members will be stewarding and demonstrating daily throughout the exhibition including one overseas member who will wear her national costume throughout her stewardship!

Annual Member's Weekend 2017 . . . dates announced
The Goldwork Guild Annual Members weekend will be on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th May 2017. This year, our tutor (and Goldwork Guild member) Sally Chapman, where we will be working a Pheasant in Or Nue.
The course will cover:-
· How to start with a straight line, and then work a few plain rows to get used to laying jap.
· How to gradually introduce a solid coloured area, choosing and blending colours to achieve the desired effect, whether mottling, or more defined areas of light and dark.
· How easy it is for the solid areas to distort the rows; the importance of watching for, and correcting this.
· How to shape a curve
· How to stitch the more definite coloured areas around the neck, the head and the beak.
· Plus, how to adjust parts that don’t ‘look right’.
Cost for the weekend is £55 (both days) and includes the materials pack. It is being held at Whitminster Village Hall, Whitminster, Gloucestershire. Please contact 'TC' for further details. Places are limited so please get in touch.
Goldwork Challenge - 2016

For our members and our Facebook friends we are pleased to announce the details of the 2016 Goldwork challenge. Details of the challenge and the template can be found here! The attachment format is PDF - and should printed as A4 (Landscape). Even if you don't want to enter the competition, and just want to have a go, please do share your finished piece on Facebook. If you are looking for the piece we saw at Hand & Lock then please look no further than the News section and scroll down to the Magazine's section - (look at Issue 7 - November 2015).
